Kathryn van Beek
Kathryn van Beek (she/her) is a Pākehā New Zealander of Dutch and English descent. A Robert Burns Fellow and a Winston Churchill McNeish Writers’ Fellow, Kathryn has a doctorate on using writing for positive change.
She is the author of short story collection Pet and co-editor of essay collection Otherhood. The winner of the Mindfood Short Story Competition and the Headland Prize, her work has appeared in Overland, Landfall, takahē, The Spinoff, Newsroom and elsewhere.
