Chang Shih Yen is a writer from Malaysia. She graduated with first class honours in English and Linguistics, and has a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Otago. She speaks English, Malay, Chinese, Spanish and Portuguese.

Her first book was a work of non-fiction entitled Chang Shih Yen's Pandemic Diary: Surviving Covid-19 lockdown alone and without internet (2021). She is the author of a collection of short stories entitled Around The World (2022), and a children’s book Putra And His Silver Keris (2023). All titles available from Lulu Press.
