The Language of FlowersIn this lecture, Kirby-Jane Hallum will examine how the language of flowers provided a covert way to write about female desire for writers such as Mary Elizabeth Braddon, who tried to highlight social issues while still conforming to Victorian moral standards.
She is joined by Charlotte Robertson of RocknRosie, who will be making a bouquet as the lecture progresses, which one lucky audience member will take home. |
